Dealer Sing debuts for C Maher and draws gate 1 with John Allen, which screams “positive ride, hold a spot, don’t complicate it”. In a 1757m maiden, the inside draw plus a rider who can judge tempo is often half the job.
The horse that can spoil it is Perfect Night. That form line (55-421) says confidence, and if the Hayes yard has him truly progressing, he is the one who can sit close enough and outstay the first-starters late.
What I would do: Dealer Sing to win, but keep stakes sensible because we do not have a public form line to lean on. If he is very short, consider win-only as the anchor in multis rather than trying to get clever.

The shape looks messy on paper, which usually means one thing in these 3yo maidens: back the horse that can land a run and quicken. Supergrace gets that chance from barrier 1. Barrier 4 suits a sit just off the leaders and a clean crack at them at the 400.
The danger is Conflict (223-1), who arrives in form and looks the obvious on-pace control horse from gate 3. If the tempo crawls, Conflict can turn it into a 400m dash and make Mandraki chase.
What I would do: win bet Mandraki. If you are a saver punter, save on Conflict in small fields when you fear the sit-sprint scenario.
Race 5: Lancefield Golf Club Mdn Plate — 15:30, 1320
This is the best betting race because the intent is loud: the Hayes yard loads the race (Shalaakei, Hell’s Diamond, Mad About Magnus, Playful As) and they also bring a genuine map horse in He’s A Hustler. He draws gate 1, he has already proven he can run a strong race without winning (7-22), and John Allen sticking is the sort of “finish the job” booking you respect.

Race 6: MC Labour (Bm56) — 16:00, 1757
The contrast is clear: Ancho brings the class and the weight (134.4 from gate 3), while a couple of these come in lighter and can pinch a breather mid-race. I am still with Ancho because his form line (330-17) reads like a horse who has already proven he can win when set for it, and the draw lets Brittany Button ride him with intent instead of riding a “hope and pray” race.
The danger is Whisper The Wind (66-1). He is the improver in the field and gate 2 gives him the chance to land on the back of the speed with no excuses. If Ancho overdoes it under the big weight, Whisper The Wind is the one who can roll over the top.
What I would do: win bet Ancho, but keep an eye on the price. If he is short under that weight, I would rather play him in a quinella with Whisper The Wind than take unders.
Race 7: Broadstead Kilmore (Bm56) — 16:30, 1593
I keep coming back to Antalian. He is in career-best form (2-2331), he gets John Allen, and the map is friendly enough from gate 4 to either hold a forward spot or stalk the leaders without getting cluttered up. In these BM56 races, the horse who can travel in the first four and still finish often just wins.
The danger is No Greater Vue who arrives with confidence (770-13) and gets W Gordon, the jockey with the strongest Kilmore profile today. If Gordon can reproduce that track strike and bully his way into a soft lead, No Greater Vue becomes a real threat.
