Kyneton Tips 24/10/2024
BEST BET 🏆
Race 6 No. 5 HILLCREST MOSES- ($3.80)
HILLCREST MOSES can get the job done in Race 6. The seven-year-old has been building up to another win and has landed in the runner-up slot in his two runs at his current preparation. He stepped out at Donald first up and produced an eye-catcher when just missing out behind Little Eagle over the 1204m before heading to Seymour on September 17. In that race, the Matt Laurie-trained galloper botched the start before settling out very wide and running on. Third up he should be right at his peak and the 3kg claim for Dakotah Keane gets him down to a winnable weight.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 8 No. 4 CHAMPAGNE SHARON- ($4.40)
CHAMPAGNE SHARON can chalk up the second win of her career. The Symon Wilde-trained mare has been close up at her past two and was 3rd in a 0-64 race over the 1200m at Hamilton two starts ago before sticking on for 4th at Warrnambool over the 1400m on October 6 at her first go at the trip. In that race, the four-year-old settled handy and was held up as they cornered before looming up and just going down in the shadows in what was a blanket finish. That should top her off nicely and she comes in with the fitness under her belt. The daughter of All Too Hard has been a firmer in the early betting and draws to get the run of the race from barrier 3.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 1 No. 6 FAVANNA- ($6.25)
Keen on FAVANNA in the opener. The Michael Moroney-trained filly has had the two career runs and did all the chasing behind Time Of My Life on debut at Geelong when 4th over the 1121m before heading to Moonee Valley and running 5th behind Reprisal over the 1200m. She settled handy in that race at a solid clip before just fading late. This looks easier and the stable go for the blinkers. Blake Shinn rides and the pair should enjoy a nice time of it from barrier 2.
