BEST BET 🏆

Race 7 No. 1 FOX DUNNETT ($3.80)

The BM56 field broke a long standing track record when FOX DUNNETT followed Tales Of Conflict home over 1400 metres last start. Times were fast all day, just not as fast as this mob were in the last of the day. Lachlan Neindorf chose to snag Fox Dunnett back from his carpark draw before hunting the rails. The two who ran first and second were ahead of him and just kept running to finish in a slick time of 1:21.69. Darryl Carrison gets him back to 1200m with Todd Pannell in the saddle, and Fox Dunnett should be very hard to beat on Wednesday.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 5 No. 6 WANALOAN ($5)

Tommy Stokes sent his filly WANALOAN around in a high-rating Cl2 over 1200 metres where she returned as the clear black booker from Murray Bridge. The race itself rated as a deep BM58 race with the winner Bubble Over coming into the event as 67 rater. Bubble over followed the pattern of the latter races of the day by settling towards the back before overpowering his rivals late. Meanwhile, Kayla Crowther found herself dealing with the misfortune of drawing an inside gate with Wanaloan. She had nowhere to go on turning with the pair finding themselves out the back with the field well into the straight. Crowther circled Wanaloan off the heels of the field to come storming home late to run third. Has been given a slight let-up and the blinkers go on after not letting down hard enough off a slow tempo last start.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 6 No. 5 DINGABLEDINGA ($12)

Veteran trainer Marg Rubery has picked up a handy sort in DINGABLEDINGA. She’s managed to get this horse out to a bit of ground since picking him up from the Richard and Chantelle Jolly yard. Dingabledinga responded in kind for her by landing a win over this track and trip two runs ago. Dom Tourneur settled his mount worse than midfield with the pair unable to get in closer than three-wide. The pace was on and Dom brought Dingabledinga with his run to put paid to them into the straight. Since put in a handy run in town, Dingabledinga should appreciate getting back to midweek grade.
