Race 1 No. 3 MR SAXABEAT – ($2.50)

We are following the money trail in Race 1 and think that MR SAXABEAT can land the opener. The Team Hayes-trained galloper debuted over the 1400m here on August 1 and settled back in the field. He was well back at the 400m and didn’t enjoy much galloping room early on in the straight before running home nicely for 6th. The four-year-old went 3.6 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is three lengths better than the next best last start benchmark figures of any runner. Step up to the 1600m looks like it will suit and Dan Stackhouse rides. He is five from 12 for the stable, providing a 42% profit on turnover for punters. 

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN) 

Race 2 No 1 DISSELATION- ($6)

DISSELATION can go a couple of spots better than a debut effort that saw him finish 3rd behind Tycoon Jenny on July 3. The Greg Eurell-trained galloper settled handy that day and couldn’t quite reel in the gap behind Tycoon Jenny. That came on the Pakenham Synthetic. The son of Dissident is another that has attracted support in the betting and jumps up to the 1400m.

Race 3 No 5 RICH LOVER – ($8)

This might be the one for RICH LOVER to chalk up his first career win. The four-year-old has been knocking on the door at his past couple of starts, which have been at the track and trip. He was wide over the 1000m two starts ago before just missing out and filled the exacta behind Tycoon Jenny in a race that has produced a couple of winners. Ethan Brown rides and is striking at 24%, providing a 41% profit on turnover for punters.
