Race 4 No. 3 SEVEN SECRETS ($3.65)

Apprentice rider Alan Lai is looking for another career winner, and this could come in the form of SEVEN SECRETS. Lai heads to Port Augusta Racecourse for the first time and a win aboard Seven Secrets would also bring about the first winner for trainer Andrew Gluyas since the retirement of partner Leon Macdonald. Seven Secrets was a good winner at Gawler two starts ago when Jason Holder got him to the right part of the track to score. Not beaten far in town a fortnight ago when finishing just behind the placings. Drawn nicely towards the middle for his first go on the dirt and gets in really well with the claim.

Race 3 No. 2 THE LADIES MAN ($5)

Nichola Yuen partners THE LADIES MAN for trainer Paula Trenwith at Port Augusta Racecourse on Sunday. She rode The Ladies Man as he became keen in the run before knocking-up in a race that probably didn’t suit at Gawler. They were all running on by that time of the day and we’ll put a line through a lot of those horses who were up on the pace. Nearly pinched it under Britney Wong when leading from the death-seat second-up at Roxby Downs. The pair were claimed late by Moss The Boss while putting a big margin back to the rest of the field. The Ladies Man will have stripped fitter for the three runs back and will be in this for a long way.

Race 7 No. 8 RUN ON ($7.50)

The Yuen Trenwith combination line-up again, this time in the last with RUN ON. The horse was a dominant winner here recently as Yuen steered him home her fourth winner for the day. May have missed the start at Roxby Downs to starts ago as he did get back in the field through the early stages. Britney Wong set him alight mid-race with Run On continuing on for another dominant win over the 1400m. Well up in grade in a strong race at Gawler last start. Run On led over the 1700m and stuck on gamely behind Allusion on a day where leaders found it hard. Yuen can hopefully cross tomorrow and perhaps follow a horse like Royal Landing before proving too strong into the straight.
