The Tea Rose Stakes and 7+ Sport Stakes both feature on the card from Randwick this Saturday. The action begins at 11:50 with the opening contest and the 10-race card goes through to the finale at 17:15.

Here are our best bets for the afternoon from Randwick.

BEST BET: AUTUMN GLOW

Race 7

Autumn Glow comes into the Tea Rose Stakes with an unbeaten record after scoring in both of her two starts at Rosehill. She showed no signs of any inexperience when breaking her maiden on her first run. Then just over three weeks later, she won an open race by two lengths in what was a smart performance.

Trainer Chris Waller has three runners in this race, but this is by far his best chance of landing the top prize. The filly will be ridden by James McDonald, and she is likely to be given a patient ride once again, with her best work being done in the final stages of the race.

The daughter of the Autumn Sun looks capable of climbing to the highest level. She can claim this Group Two prize before a shot at a Group One later in the campaign.

SECOND BEST BET: FANGIRL

Race 9

With five victories at this course already, Fangirl often produces her best performances at Randwick. She was just over a length behind the winner on her latest appearance in what was another respectable run at this venue over the shorter distance of 1000m.

A return to this winning distance of 1600m will suit the six-year-old mare in this 7+ Sport Stakes. It will give her longer to hit full speed and she has the stamina to gallop to the finish line.

Stablemate Zougotcha is the biggest danger to Fangirl, but she will need to bounce back from a disappointing run three weeks ago when she was seventh of eight runners.

Best Value: Our Kobison

Race 10

A competitive field is set to fight it out for The Shorts, the penultimate race on the card at Randwick on Saturday. The value here is with Our Kobison who has not been out of the placings in his two runs this season.

Expect Our Kobison to be dictating the pace in this contest and if he is given an easy lead by his rivals, he may take some pegging back. He knows this course well as he just missed out on the top prize last time out. This is a great chance to go one place better.
