BEST BET 🏆 (WIN)  

Race 2 No. 11 SCORSESE- ($2.30)

SCORSESE should find this easier than recent runs. The Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman-trained galloper is yet to win in four starts but has run some excellent races in town and comes off a last start 5th behind Exploring at Flemington over the 1000m, beaten just over a length. He was runner-up at Caulfield prior to that. The new season three-year-old comes into this with two runs under his belt and should be ready to peak. The 1200m is a slight question mark but early market support is a positive. 

BEST VALUE 💰(EACH-WAY)

Race 8 No 7 SCHWOON- ($23)

SCHWOON represents a bit of value in the final race of the day. The Shea Eden-trained galloper has had two runs this time in and lined up at the track and trip on July 7, running 3rd behind I’m Cheeky in this grade. He settled behind the leading pair in the field of just six as they went slow early before the race developed into a sit sprint. He should be at his peak now and at his only previous third up run, the son of Odyssey Moon improved 11 lengths on benchmark figures when 5th at Flemington over the 1100m, going five lengths faster than standard, which is a better figure than what any horse in this race has produced.
