BEST BET 🏆 (WIN)  

Race 1 No. 12 FANG IT – ($2.60)

FANG IT can go close after a debut effort that saw him finish 5th over the 1400m on July 26. On that occasion, the Moody/Coleman galloper settled back in the field of nine and they went slowly in that race. He took some time to wind up before producing the second fastest last 200m, landing three lengths off Ambassadorial. The 3rd placegetter out of that has since gone on to win for the stable. This looks a weak maiden and early market support suggests the son of Embelish can take this out. 

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN) 

Race 2 No 4 PONTIPINES- ($5.25)

PONTIPINES represents a bit of value in Race 2. The Godolphin galloper has had just the two career starts and showed improvement on July 27, closing off well over the 1100m to fill the exactas behind Pantelone. The son of Lonhro went 1.9 lengths slower than standard benchmark in that race, which is the second best figure that any contender in this has produced. Improvement to come at his third start and with Damien Oliver in the saddle, he can get the job done. 

NEXT BEST 🥈 

Race 4 No. 3 MAGIC CHLOE – ($5)

MAGIC CHLOE can continue the impressive start to her career when she steps out in Race 4. The lightly raced five-year-old has won two of six and placed in another three. She won at Hillside a year ago and was out of action until recently when resuming in a Saturday race at Morphettville over the 1200m on July 29. In that encounter, she was excellent late in the piece behind Bonnie Gangster, finishing runner-up. At her pervious second up run she was a sharp improver on benchmark figures when claiming her maiden. She should be hard to hold out late in the piece.
