Race 4 No. 2 OCEAN RAIDER – ($3.20)

OCEAN RAIDER should be hard to beat in Race 4. The Robbie Griffiths and Matt de Kock-trained galloper scored in a BenchMark 58 at Echuca two starts ago before heading to a Morphettville Saturday meeting, finishing 5th behind Imbibe. He led at a steady clip that day before just fading late to land two lengths within the winner. This looks easier and he went 3.7 lengths faster than standard benchmark last time, which is 10 lengths better than the next best last start figure of any runner. The son of Ocean Park has options from barrier 5 in the small field and just needs to run up to recent efforts.

Race 3 No. 3 LUCKY PRIZE- ($3.60)

LUCKY PRIZE can go close in Race 3 of the day at Tatura. The four-year-old has place in three of his five career starts and resumed at Bendigo on September 27, finishing 4th over the 1000m behind Pondalowie. He settled on the speed that day before fading late. This looks to be an easier assignment and the son of Magnus has the early speed to cross over from barrier 12. He will strip fitter for this and should be hard to get past at the business end.

Race 7 No. 1 WILMOT PASS- ($3.65)

This looks to be a suitable assignment for WILMOT PASS. The seven-year-old has not won in over a year but has been edging closer as his rating has dropped and was runner-up in a 0-64 race at Bendigo two starts ago, putting a big gap on the rest. He is another that comes out of the Morphettville race that was taken out by Imbibe on September 30 and was asked to make his run a long way out that day before landing a length off the winner. This looks easier and the 3kg claim for Dakotah Keane brings him down to a winnable weight.
