Kaida Odori is the obvious danger. The 263</em is better than most of these, and B Lerena is the jockey you want when a race needs timing. The catch is the draw 14. He’ll have to be good and a bit lucky.

Two horses, two different ways to win. Zarippa is the grinder who keeps putting a run together, and I want that in a Class 55 where others are inconsistent. The 90-day snapshot backs it: four runs for three placings, so it’s regularly taking money without landing the knockout punch. Gate 2 is the key today, because it stops the horse from getting back and chasing wide.
The danger is Elegant Lucy on pure winning intent. The form 574101</em says the stable has found the right pattern, and while the draw 15 is ugly, winners in these grades sometimes just keep winning when they’re on-song. You’ll know early if they’re pressing forward or snagging back and hoping.
