The 2025 Coolmore Classic (1500m) barrier draw and final field will be declared at 9am on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Coolmore Classic Nominations – When Are They Revealed?
The Coolmore Classic will be run at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, March 15.
Nominations for the 1500m fillies and mares feature will be announced at 11am on Monday, March 10, 2025.
The Coolmore Classic can often attract a large field of fillies and mares with the handicap having a minimum weight of 51kg (50kg for 3YOs).
Coolmore Classic Barrier Draw – How Are The Barriers Selected?
The final piece of the Coolmore Classic puzzle will be revealed on Wednesday, March 12. Around 9am the final field and barrier draw will be revealed for the Rosehill feature.
A computer will randomly generate the starting barrier for each horse in the field.
Once we know the final field for the Coolmore Classic, we will update it at the top of this page.

Is There Any Bias With The Barrier Draw in the Coolmore Classic?
There has been a fairly even spread of winners from all barriers in the Coolmore Classic over the past 40 years.
An indication of this is barriers one, two and 14 appearing in the most successful Coolmore Classic barriers table below.
Large fields will often compete in the Coolmore Classic and this has allowed wide barriers to produce winners of the race. Barriers 10 through to 16 have all had one or more winners in the last four decades which give us a clear indication that there is no barrier draw bias for the feature event.
