Ascot Racing Tips 7 Nov 2026: King Of Light Three Straight?

Overview

King Of Light has won both of his runs in the last 90 days, banking $178,100, and he won the only time he raced at Ascot. He lines up in the Lee Steere Stakes over 1400m with Lucy Fiore aboard for D L Morton, and that pairing has won 10 of its 35 rides together at this track.

The rest of the card is solid if not spectacular. Ten races run on a Good turf track from 11:54AM to 5:44PM AWST, with the three-year-old Fairetha Stakes at 3:15PM as the other race worth circling. These Ascot racing tips work through every race, show which riders and stables actually have numbers here, and land on a NAP, a banker and a quaddie built around the last four. Bookmakers had not opened markets on the meeting when this was written, so there are no prices quoted below.

Reading the Ascot card

Plenty of today’s runners have been around Ascot before, and a few of them keep turning up in the money. Beatty has won three of her four starts here, and So Si God has never missed the first three in four visits.

Horse Runs Wins Places Win% Place%
Beatty 4 3 4 75.0 100.0
So Si God 4 2 4 50.0 100.0

The riding ranks are dominated by two names. Chris Parnham has the best strike rate among the regulars, 30 winners from 130 rides, and Lucy Fiore has the most winners, 31 from 156.

Ascot racing tips, race by race

Race 1: Magic Millions Plate, 11:54AM, 1100m

Only two of these juveniles have been to the races, and that makes Ahab The Arab the obvious starting point. He ran third at his only start, and that run came at Ascot, so he knows the track and the job. L P Luciani also runs Madam Lash, who was fifth on debut here.

The danger is whatever the Parnham riders are on. Chris Parnham takes the ride on first starter Snippex for Simon Miller, and with his record at this track a debut booking like that is worth respecting. With five unraced horses there is not much to hang a big bet on. Small win on Ahab The Arab, and watch how the newcomers go.

Race 2: Carbine Club Of Wa Apprentices Cup (Bm66+), 12:34PM, 2200m

Can anything in this field match the consistency of I Love Ya Money? Two wins and four placings from five runs in the last 90 days, $110,760 in prizemoney over that stretch, and a form line of 251231 that hasn’t had a bad run in it for a while. He has also placed in all three of his Ascot starts, winning one.

Top weight of 57kg is the only knock on him. Chanel Cooper rides for Mitchell Pateman, who wins with a quarter of his Ascot runners. Abissi is the threat for Michael Grantham. He won two starts back, ran fourth last time, and has a win from two runs here. Win bet on I Love Ya Money.

Race 3: Sgc Australia (Rs1mw), 1:14PM, 1600m

Vampi Queen arrives in the best form in the race. Three wins from five runs in the last 90 days, the latest a win, and C Johnston-Porter rides for D & B Pearce at 56.5kg. The knock is that she has been to Ascot three times without placing, but the current form is a different horse to the one that raced here before.

Javelin Strike is the one with the track record, a win and two placings from three runs here, and Lucy Fiore jumps on from barrier 2. His last start was a poor one, though, and that makes him a danger rather than the pick. Masmelo has a win from four runs here for N D Parnham but has had only one run in the last 90 days. Win bet on Vampi Queen, with Javelin Strike in exotics.

Race 4: Pps Water Group (Rs1mw), 1:54PM, 1400m

Two wins from four runs in the last 90 days and the inside gate. Empire Of Rome has the profile to sit handy and make the others come and get him, and at 54.5kg he gets a big weight break from the topweights. C Johnston-Porter rides for C & M Gangemi, a stable that places with more than half of its Ascot runners.

Prince Of Dala is the wildcard. His form reads 11412, but he hasn’t raced in the last 90 days and carries 60.5kg on his return. She’s A Splinter has a third and a win from her two recent runs and placed at her only Ascot start, and she is the more reliable danger. Empire Of Rome to win.

Race 5: Tabtouch – Westspeed Platinum Series Heat 2 (Rs0ly), 2:34PM, 1200m

Twelve runners, very little recent winning form, and the one horse with a real Ascot record has never won here. Ripper Farooq has placed in six of seven starts at the track without getting to the line first, and his last run ended with him losing his rider. That’s the honest summary of the race.

Beyond Measure has a win and a placing from two recent runs for P B Hunter, but draws barrier 10. Cosmic Treat has a win and three placings from six runs in the last 90 days and gets Lucy Fiore, though she starts from the outside gate. Each-way on Ripper Farooq for his track record from barrier 2, and keep the stake small.

Race 6: Waroa – Fairetha Stakes, 3:15PM, 1400m

Beatty against Roger is the race of the afternoon outside the Lee Steere, and the two have very different cases. Beatty is the proven Ascot performer: three wins from four starts here, placed in all four, and $380,700 earned at this track alone. Her last start was a win here on 24 October with Lucy Fiore, who keeps the ride, and she carries 58kg as the class horse of the field.

Roger is the unknown quantity. His form line reads 111, he has two wins and a placing from three runs in the last 90 days, and he won at his only Ascot start. Chris Parnham rides for D L Morton, and Roger gets 2.5kg from Beatty. If he keeps improving he can beat her.

The rest are playing for minor money. Godspeed placed at his only Ascot start, and He’s A Machino is the second S & J Casey runner with a win from six here. Countersunk is scratched. It comes down to proven track form against an unbeaten profile, and the track form wins out. Win bet on Beatty, with a saver exacta reversed with Roger.

Race 7: MC Equine Surfaces (Bm66+), 3:51PM, 1200m

So Si God simply doesn’t miss the frame. He has placed in all six runs in the last 90 days, winning one, and he has placed in all four starts at Ascot with two wins. Chris Parnham rides for S & J Casey, a combination that has five wins and 16 placings from 24 rides together at this track.

Barrier 11 is the one worry, and he’ll need a bit of luck from out there. Cruise To Victory is the danger after a last-start win, with a win and a placing from two recent runs, but he carries 58kg. Ourgirlcanrun has won one and placed in both of her Ascot starts. Wheely is scratched. Win bet on So Si God, and he’s the banker for multis.

Race 8: Technical Mechanical Maintenance – Luckygray Stakes, 4:29PM, 1800m

The shape of this one suits a horse that can travel and then keep going. Aberdeen Flyer has placed in five of six runs at Ascot, with a win among them, and both of his runs in the last 90 days produced a placing worth $42,780 combined. He drops to 54kg from barrier 3, and Chris Parnham takes the ride.

He doesn’t win often enough to be a confident win bet, though. Oly’s Choice ran third last start and has a win and three placings from four recent runs for D & B Pearce, earning $75,040. Royal Law won $87,350 across three runs in the last 90 days, and Memory Parade earned $92,100 from six. It’s an open race. Each-way on Aberdeen Flyer.

Race 9: Afgri Equipment – Lee Steere Stakes, 5:05PM, 1400m

King Of Light comes here two from two in the last 90 days, with $178,100 banked from those runs, and he won his only Ascot start, earning $109,600. His form line reads 110-11. That’s a horse in peak condition coming back to a track he has already won at.

The booking adds weight to it. Lucy Fiore and D L Morton have combined for 10 wins and 23 placings from 35 Ascot rides, and they last won together here in October. From barrier 8 in an eight-horse field he can find his spot without fuss.

Too Dardy is the clear danger. Two wins and three placings from three runs in the last 90 days, $141,900 earned, and a form line of 031112 with two wins in the last three. S O’Donnell rides for MS J Erkelens. London’s Image is the next best, three placings and a win from four runs here, and gets 2kg less than the rest. G & A Williams also run Western Empire and Watch Me Rock. Win bet on King Of Light, with Too Dardy as the exacta saver.

Race 10: National Jockey Trust (Bm78+), 5:44PM, 1200m

Keep Reading closes the card off a last-start win and draws barrier 1. He has a win and a placing from two runs in the last 90 days, $45,640 earned, and a win and two placings from six starts at Ascot. Holly Watson rides for Mitchell Pateman, who has 16 winners from 62 Ascot runners.

Hurricane Harley has the stronger recent numbers, two wins and four placings from five runs and $88,540 earned, but his last start was a seventh and he has to come from barrier 10. Sir Dreamalot has placed in three of four runs here. Win bet on Keep Reading, with Hurricane Harley the saver.

Where the money goes

NAP: King Of Light (Race 9, 5:05PM). Unbeaten in his last two, a winner at his only Ascot start, and ridden by the jockey with the most Ascot winners, for a stable she has won 10 races with here.

Value: Keep Reading (Race 10, 5:44PM). A last-start winner drawn the rail in a field where the bigger names come with question marks. No prices were up when this was written.

Banker: So Si God (Race 7, 3:51PM). Placed in all four Ascot starts and all six runs in the last 90 days.

Each-way: Aberdeen Flyer (Race 8, 4:29PM). Five placings from six runs here, at 54kg in an open race.

Course angle: Back Chris Parnham‘s rides for S & J Casey. They have placed with two-thirds of their 24 Ascot rides together, and today that means So Si God and Aberdeen Flyer.

Quaddie (Races 7 to 10): So Si God and Cruise To Victory, then Aberdeen Flyer, Oly’s Choice and Memory Parade, King Of Light and Too Dardy, and Keep Reading and Hurricane Harley in the last.

If King Of Light wins the Lee Steere the way his form suggests, the bigger Perth summer races will start to plan around him.
