Gold Coast Racing Tips 7 Nov 2026: Italian Dancer Again?

Overview

Italian Dancer has placed in four of its five runs in the last 90 days, two of them wins, it won at its only Gold Coast start, and it gets its chance in the last race of the day after being scratched from Eagle Farm. That makes the Titans Corporate Hospitality (Bm70) the race to build the afternoon around.

Eight races run on a track rated Good to Soft, from 12:59PM to 5:37PM (Queensland time). The card is mostly low-grade handicaps and two maidens, so the edges come from stables and riders who know the place. These Gold Coast racing tips go through all eight races, pick out the horses with genuine track form, and finish with a quaddie through Races 5 to 8. No bookmaker prices were up when this was written.

Gold Coast, the setup

Blitzburg is the standout course horse on the card. Eleven starts here have produced three wins and six placings, which is real evidence, not a hunch. Flying Bat has placed at all four of its Gold Coast starts without winning, and Monte Carlo Miss has placed in four of seven.

Horse Runs Wins Places Win% Place%
Flying Bat 4 0 4 0.0 100.0
Monte Carlo Miss 7 0 4 0.0 57.1
Blitzburg 11 3 6 27.3 54.5

Irish Handcuffs 4 0 2 0.0 50.0
La Profecia 4 0 2 0.0 50.0
All About Artie 6 1 2 16.7 33.3
Sum Invictus 6 1 2 16.7 33.3

Benjamin Osmond wins on almost one in five of his Gold Coast rides, and Jasper Franklin isn’t far behind. Jaden Lloyd places more often than anyone, just over half his rides, though from a smaller sample.

Jockey Runs Wins Places Win% Place%
Jaden Lloyd 35 5 18 14.3 51.4
Jasper Franklin 49 9 22 18.4 44.9
R Wiggins 29 4 13 13.8 44.8

B Lerena 125 16 50 12.8 40.0
D Peisley 110 12 42 10.9 38.2

Chris and Corey Munce win with better than one in four of their Gold Coast runners, and P L Shailer places with more than half of his. Richard Laming has the best numbers of all, but from only 14 runners.

Trainer Runs Wins Places Win% Place%
Richard Laming 14 5 9 35.7 64.3
P L Shailer 44 10 25 22.7 56.8

Gold Coast race by race

Race 1: East Coast Concrete Mdn Plate, 12:59PM, 1700m

A maiden over 1700m where nobody has strong claims. Reel Patience ran third on debut and has the most room to improve, with B El-Issa riding for Ruby Chatterton. That one run is all there is to go on.

Irish Handcuffs is the experienced alternative. It has placed in two of its four Gold Coast starts and once from two runs in the last 90 days, but it keeps finding one or two better. Hopeful Cause placed at its only start here and gets B Lerena, who has 16 Gold Coast wins from 125 rides.

Hard to have a confident view. Small each-way on Reel Patience, otherwise watch it.

Race 2: Neumann Steel (Bm62), 1:39PM, 1800m

Scratchings have cut this to six, and that helps All About Artie. It has two placings from six Gold Coast starts, one of them a win, and the same pattern from five runs in the last 90 days, $21,900 earned, with a win two starts back in its 892816 line. Jasper Franklin rides, and he wins on close to one in five of his rides here.

Larusso is the danger. Two placings from three recent runs, and B Lerena is aboard for Jack Bruce. Our Turn Now also placed twice in four runs over the last 90 days. He’s A Saint has had seven Gold Coast starts for two placings and gets in light, but it hasn’t won one.

Win bet on All About Artie.

Race 3: Carpet Call (Bm60), 2:19PM, 2400m

Two horses with very different profiles. Lord Protector is the busy one: eleven runs in the last 90 days for three placings, two of them wins, $45,210 earned, and it won at its latest start. Desert Angel is the course horse, placed at both of its Gold Coast starts and winning one, for P L Shailer, a trainer who places with more than half his runners here.

The 2400m trip and 60kg are the questions for Lord Protector, but a horse that has been racing this often and still winning is fit enough to carry it. K H Zechner rides from barrier 1, which should give it the run of the race. D Peisley rides Desert Angel, which has one win from five runs in the last 90 days. Bolero has placed in four of eight recent runs and keeps turning up.

Lord Protector to win, saver on Desert Angel.

Race 4: TM Stone Mdn Hcp, 2:59PM, 1400m

Three of these have never raced, and of the rest only Monarchal has ever finished in the first three. The stable angle is the only one I’d trust. Puharich runs for Richard Laming, who has won with 5 of his 14 Gold Coast runners, and Jaden Lloyd rides.

Monarchal has a second on its record for Chris and Corey Munce, the best strike-rate stable at this track. Mysticise debuts for Matthew Hoysted, whose Gold Coast runners place more often than not.

Watch race. If you must play, a small each-way on Puharich.

Race 5: Peak Property Services (Bm65), 3:39PM, 1000m

Tara’s Reward has won two of its four runs in the last 90 days and placed in a third, earning $25,350. The 54113 line shows two wins before a third last time, and it steps out for Jack Bruce, who wins with almost one in five Gold Coast runners. M Hellyer rides at 60kg.

Galavino won its only start, which came here, and it gets in at 57.5kg for Adam Campton with B El-Issa riding. One start is a data point, but it was a winning one. Idleonby placed once in three recent runs for T J Gollan.

Win bet on Tara’s Reward, the safest option on the card.

Race 6: Corpsure Insurance Broking Hcp, 4:19PM, 1000m

Blitzburg is the Gold Coast specialist. It wins 27% of its starts here and places in more than half of them, from 11 runs. The 271610 form ends with a disappointing run, but it won a race in the last 90 days and comes back to the track where it does its best work. Mckenzie Apel rides for Allan Chau.

Maximum Output is the danger. Two placings from five runs in the last 90 days, one a win, for $20,300, and it carries 58kg for Stuart and Bayley Kendrick, who also run Heartoni. Durova has three wins in its 110197 form line but only one run in the last 90 days. Shako and Overfull are also entered at Eagle Farm, so check they stay here.

Win bet on Blitzburg.

Race 7: Join The Titans Legion Hcp (60), 4:59PM, 1200m

If the tempo is honest, Sum Invictus gets its chance. It has two placings from six Gold Coast starts, one of them a win, and three placings including a win from six runs in the last 90 days, with Anthony Allen riding for Kurt Goldman. Goldman wins with more than one in five of his Gold Coast runners.

The weight is the worry at 60kg. Monte Carlo Miss gets in at 54kg and has placed in four of seven runs here and two of three recent runs, though it rarely wins. Britannia Rose has placed in two of four Gold Coast starts, winning one, but no runs in the last 90 days. Summer Stunner won once in four recent runs.

Win bet on Sum Invictus, each-way on Monte Carlo Miss.

Race 8: Titans Corporate Hospitality (Bm70), 5:37PM, 1400m

The Kendricks have had only three Gold Coast starters, and two of them won. Italian Dancer was one, winning at its only start here, and it has placed in four of five runs over the last 90 days, two of them wins, worth $39,000. MS S Tierney rides at 58.5kg, and the stable also starts Seneschal.

Ed I Am has the same number of recent wins. Placed in all four of its runs in the last 90 days, two of them wins, $31,400, and only 55kg for Gregory Cornish with Jaden Lloyd aboard. It is the strongest threat and the one I would be looking at for value once the market opens.

Flying Bat has placed at every one of its four Gold Coast starts and in five of six recent runs, but it hasn’t won in that time. Mckenzie Apel and Allan Chau have placed 12 times from 35 runs together here, which fits a horse that keeps running into the frame. Till Dusk won its only start here for Chris and Corey Munce.

Win bet on Italian Dancer, Ed I Am the saver, and Flying Bat for a place.

Where the money goes

NAP: Italian Dancer (Race 8, 5:37PM). A course winner from a stable that has won with two of its three Gold Coast runners, and it has been finishing in the first three almost every time out.

Value: Ed I Am (Race 8, 5:37PM). Four placings from four recent runs including two wins, with a light weight. No prices were up, but it should be bigger than the NAP.

Banker: Tara’s Reward (Race 5, 3:39PM). Two wins and a third from four recent runs in a 1000m race short on solid form.

Each-way: Flying Bat (Race 8, 5:37PM). Placed at all four Gold Coast starts and five of six recent runs.

Course angle: Chris and Corey Munce runners. They win with 14 of their 53 Gold Coast starters, and today they have Monarchal in Race 4 and Till Dusk in Race 8.

Quaddie (Races 5 to 8): Tara’s Reward and Galavino, then Blitzburg and Maximum Output, Sum Invictus, Monte Carlo Miss and Britannia Rose, and Italian Dancer, Ed I Am and Flying Bat in the last.

Next time Blitzburg‘s name turns up in a Gold Coast field, its record here says to look at it before anything else.
