Race 1 No. 3 RED TORI ($3.40)

We were on RED TORI as Brad Parnham steered the filly home over this track and trip last prep. Stephen Miller sent her for a spell following her next start which was in Listed Grade as Red Tori ran well to finish close-up to Investmentstrategy. Apprentice rider Cassey Martinan allowed Red Tori to stride along outside the leader first-up over 1200m at Pinjarra. Red Tori dug in for the fight up the straight before fitness told deep inside the 100m. Parnham got back on the horse last start where he asked Red Tori to settle near the tail off a good speed. The pair circled as the widest into the Pinjarra straight to just miss the winner Don’t Tell Nan. Fitter and extra furlong suits.

Race 3 No. 1 KRYSANOVA ($6)

Trevor Andrews prepared KRYSANOVA as a brave winner first-up while lumping a similar weight over 1000m in Pinjarra. Krysanova showed her usual pace to lead them along the preferred outside rail before fending off the challenge of Wednesday’s rival Born And Bred. No sooner had Krysanova dealt with her challenger, she also had to withstand the late finishing burst from Belta Of A Song. Krysanova followed her win with two close-up efforts behind The Boss Lady and Barney’s World who have each saluted in town with their next race starts. Andrews has again chosen not to claim as he brings Krysanova back in grade once more.

Race 7 No. 2  ALWAYS AWESOME ($5)

Simon Miller will test his three-year-old ALWAYS AWESOME against the older horses at Ascot Racecourse on Wednesday. Always Awesome will find this easier than last start when he finished behind Twain’s Angel and Playing Games. Those two fillies left a gap back to the others when running an ultra-fast time over this track and trip. Always Awesome settled around midfield the start prior before looming ominously by the top of the straight. Snow Prince and Sonoftheboss found another gear in front to keep Always Awesome at arms length while going on to fight the race out. This race would appear to be a step back in class.
