The three-year-old has had three runs this time in and showed improvement when dropping to this grade on April 28 at Ballarat, running on to fill the exacta behind Le Messager. She settled back in the field of eight and her cause wasn’t helped with the lack of early speed. Step up to the 1600m looks ideal and the daughter of Needs Further draws to save ground from the inside barrier.

Race 7 No. 1 THISISMYTURF- ($5.90) 

THISISMYTURF can go close in Race 7. TheTom Dabernig-trained galloper claimed a BenchMark 58 when resuming over the 1140m at Geelong before heading to Warrnambool during the recent carnival and working home for 3rd in a BenchMark 64 behind Prince Sonic. The son of Turffontein was strong to the line that day. He comes into this third up and gets the 3kg claim for Jake Weatherley, who strikes at a very healthy 36% for the stable, providing a 102% profit on investment for punters.

Race 8 No.1 BLUSHING TYCOON- ($5) 

BLUSHING TYCOON can go close in the final race of the day. The five-year-old was a winner at Ballarat over the 1600m two starts ago before heading to Flemington and placing 6th in a BenchMark 70 behind Moverforlex. He comes back down to a BM64 for this and draws perfectly in barrier 4, while the prospect of a Soft track should suit.
