BEST BET 🏆 (WIN)  

Race 6 No. 6 MATAO MA – ($3.20)

MATAO MA can just about make it three wins on the trot when he steps out in Race 6. The four-year-old claimed his Maiden at Kilmore when resuming before heading to Seymour and romping to a six-length win over the 1200m in BenchMark 58 company. He led and gave nothing else a chance to go 2.9 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is four lengths better than the next best figures of any runner. This is a step up and he might not get things on his own terms again but there are question marks on the form of a number of the credentialed gallopers here. 

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN) 

Race 2 No 7 WICHITALL – ($3.35)

Nice debut effort by WICHITALL and the Symon Wilde-trained galloper can go a couple of spots better at his second career start. At Warracknabeal, he was forced back from the wide barrier after beginning awkwardly before flashing home late behind Sasqualah. The son of All Too Hard went 4.2 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which are the best figures that any runner in this race has produced and eight lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner. He should benefit from the experience and with even luck from barrier 10 with Brad Rawiler on board, he should be hard to beat.
