Race 7 No. 4 HOSIER – ($2.40)
The feature is the Coffs Harbour Cup and plenty of interest with HOSIER resuming for the Kris Lees stable. The Team Williams galloper has been transferred from the Robert Hickmott stables down south and tends to fly first up. He bolted in at Sandown in the autumn in a BenchMark 78 over the 1600m when fresh in the autumn before running 3rd in stronger company at Caulfield. The son of Camelot loves a wet track and comes in with a solid trial performance. Market might be best guide prior to they jump but if the money comes we can expect a big run.

Race 2 No. 7 MOONLIGHT GRACE- ($2.35)
MOONLIGHT GRACE should find this easier than a last start effort that saw her place 5th at Warwick Farm over the 1200m on July 27. On that occasion, the daughter of Scissor Kick settled handy to the speed and copped some interference at the 200m mark before paddling to the line on the Heavy 10 to finish three lengths of Miyoshi. She went 3.2 lengths slower than standard in that race and they are better figures than what any horse in this race has produced. She also looked solid on debut at Gosford when producing the fastest last 200m to run 3rd.

Race 5 No. 4 INVICTUS FELIX – ($7)
Better performance by INVICTUS FELIX last time out at Coffs Harbour over the 1215m and the locally trained galloper just needs to reproduce that effort to go close at the each-way quote. His recent run came on June 26 and he made up good ground to finish 5th behind Freya’s Cloak. Previous go at the track and trip resulted in a win. Five weeks in between runs shouldn’t be an issue as he tends to go ok with gaps in between starts and comes in with the best last start figures of any runner.
