Race 3 No. 4 DARCI’S DEBUT – ($1.95)
Race 3 sees the Maiden gallopers in action and DARCI’S DEBUT should be hard to beat. The Symon Wilde-trained galloper has been a big firmer in the betting and showed improvement out at Warrnambool on July 18 when attempting to lead all the way before running 3rd behind The Silent Sermon. That came on a Heavy track and she went 3.9 lengths slower than standard, which are the best figures that any horse in this race has set in just under two years. That came at just her third career start and her second this preparation so expect some improvement to come. Linda Meech rides and won’t be far away in the run from barrier 5.

Race 5 No. 4 SUMMIT QUEEN – ($2.15)
Going with the promising SUMMIT QUEEN in Race 5. The Lindsey Smith-trained galloper showed a good turn of foot when winning at Hamilton at just her second career start then had a heap of excuses when running on for 5th in a BenchMark 64 at Sandown over the 1000m back in March. The daughter of Deep Field comes into this first up but has a bit of upside on these, while worth pointing out that her win came on the Soft.
