Race 8 No. 4 DICKENSIAN – ($4.80)
We close off proceedings with a 0-64 Handicap over the 1400m and DICKENSIAN can end the day a winner. The promising galloper from the Peter Moody stable stepped out on the Ballarat Synthetic on July 19, running 3rd behind Rosalla when resenting the kickback. He went a length faster than standard benchmark that day, which are the best last start figures of any runner. At his debut preparation he produced a personal best when third up to go nearly five lengths faster than standard when 5th behind Zac De Boss at Sandown over the 1300m. That form looks good for this and he draws well in barrier 5.

Race 6 No. 9 INALA MICHELLE- ($5.50)
INALA MICHELLE shapes as a solid prospect in Race 6 of the day at Cranbourne. The Phillip Stokes-trained galloper heads into this second up and resumed with a 4th at Sandown over the 1000m on July 20. On that occasion, she settled deep and lost a bit of ground as they rounded but stuck on well behind Fire. Second up last time, the daughter of Atomic improved a couple of lengths on benchmark figures to finish runner-up at Mornington, while she drops in grade from her recent run.

Race 7 No. 12 SKY HORSE – ($6.50)
SKY HORSE can tend to mix her form but was an improver after a change of tactics that saw her settle forward at his most recent start, which came over the 1600m at Ballarat on July 10. On that occasion, the Michelle Payne-trained galloper was just grabbed in the last few strides by Hanaady, going 2.4 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which are the best last start figures of any runner. Wouldn’t mind seeing her work across again and she does seem to perform better when deep into her preparation.
