BEST BET 🏆

Race 6:  No. 3  JOY TOO ALL  ($2.40  Palmerbet)

David Vandyke saddles-up JOY TOO ALL here who boasts five wins from her eight career starts to date and looks every chance of adding another victory to her resume today. Last start, the All Too Hard mare fell too far back when finishing fourth in a BM78 Hcp over 1200m at Eagle Farm. She finished strongly to cover her last 600m, 10 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best here by 4 lengths. She also recorded the fastest final 800m, 600m and 400m sectionals for the race. No Ryan Maloney today so Jim Byrne takes the reins for his second ride on the mare. She is unbeaten (four from four) on soft tracks so conditions today are made to order. She the goods here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 5:  No. 1  FAST TALKING  ($2.50  Neds)

The David Vandyke-trained FAST TALKING is in career-best form this time in and looks a genuine chance for the hat-trick today. Last start the seven-year-old gelding made it back-to-back wins when he took care of a BM80 field on a Heavy 9 over 1800m at the Sunshine Coast. Winning comfortably by two lengths in the end, he covered the trip, 2.9 lengths slower than benchmark, the best here, while posting the fastest final 400m and 200m sectionals for the race. Premiership winning apprentice Kyle Wilson-Taylor sticks with him here and already a winner at the track and two-time winner over the distance, he will take beating again today.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 8:  No. 12  CALL ME ARTIE  ($8  bet365)

Jim Byrne jumps aboard CALL ME ARTIE here for the first time and with favourable conditions, looks a genuine winning chance at odds today. Last start, the Artie Schiller gelding was third-up and found his best form when he destroyed his rivals in a Class 3 Hcp over the mile at Taree. He ran his last 600m, 9.5 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this line-up by more than six lengths. He also posted the fastest final 800m to 400m sectionals for the race. He sees the Doomben track for the first time today and from an ideal draw in gate three, maps to settle better than mid-field. At peak fitness after those three runs back, a trouble-free run to the line here could see him give this a real shake at odds today.
