BEST BET 🏆   

Race 3 No. 9 MINTMAN- ($4.65) 

MINTMAN can break through in Race 3. The Cindy Alderson-trained galloper has had two runs this time in and was a tad keen when resuming with a 5th at Sandown in an ok form race before heading to Mornington and placing 4th over the 1200m behind Fort Williams. He was last of the 10 runners before the bend then reeled off the fastest last 200m to land just over a length away. The son of Overshare gets out slightly in trip to the 1325m and should be strong late in the piece.

Race 5 No. 10 WIRRPANDA- ($) 

Keen on WIRRPANDA in Race 5. The Nick Ryan-trained galloper claimed his Maiden at the track and trip two starts ago then rose sharply in grade to tackle an Open race at Caulfield. He finished 6th of seven runners but wasn’t disgraced after overracing early on. The son of Wandjina comes back to Geelong and the stable have opted for a few gear changes.

Race 8 No.12 MOON YANCO – ($) 

Been a while in between drinks for MOON YANCO but the five-year-old has been edging closer at her last couple of starts with a couple of runner-up performances at Kerang and Ararat. She settled midfield at Ararat on April 26 over the 1600m and reeled off the fastest 400m-200m split when giving chase before just peaking on her run late in the piece. The daughter of Odyssey Moon went 0.5 lengths slower than standard benchmark last time, which are the best last start figures of any horse in this race and five lengths better than the class average. She just needs to find a spot from barrier 11 in the early stages.
