Race 3:  No.1  BONES  ($2 with Bet Right)

On paper at least, this event shapes up as a race-in-two as we run with the Georgie Holt-trained BONES to get the job done today. Last start, just forget he even went around as he was harassed by a riderless runner (forcing Lacey Morrison to stop riding more than once to control that horse) and in the run home, she was hampered further by riderless one, leaving her no chance of figuring in the finish at all. Today, the Eurozone gelding drops back to the 1000m sprint where he is already a four-time winner. Ash Butler takes the ride today with Morrison not riding at the meeting. He should enjoy a much better run today in a small field and without any incidents here, he looks the one to beat.

Race 8:  No.6  BRINGYATICKET  ($3.40 with Ladbrokes)

This could be a good day for Ash Butler as he takes the reins on BRINGYATICKET here who is third-up and looks in the mix in this contest. Last start, the Sebring Sun gelding fell too far back and struggled to make up the ground, finishing unplaced in a Three-Year-Old Hcp over 1200m at Townsville. Second-up syndrome may have had a hand in that run. Third-up today, the three-year-old draws well in gate seven with most of the early speed here drawn outside him and they look to be doing a lot of early work to cross and settle. If he enjoys a trouble-free run today, he can finish over the top of this field and take home the chocolates.

Race 6:  No.9  MAKE IT HAPPEN  ($4.60 with Bet Right)

The Bill Kenning-trained MAKE IT HAPPEN has found her mojo of late and seeing the Home Hill track for the first time today, looks a genuine contender here for the major prize. Last start, the Impending mare came off a pair of runner-up finishes when she went one better and won a Class 1 Hcp over 1000m on her home track at Cluden Park. She came from mid-field to finish best and win by more than a length on the line. Today she maps to settle mid-field again (with cover) from gate seven with Nathan Thomas as the pilot for this assignment. She looks the way to go in a very competitive field.
