Race 9: No.9 CALIFORNIA TOUCH
The Cody Mo-trained CALIFORNIA TOUCH has raced himself into form of late and looks well placed here to put in another bold performance tonight. Last start, the Deep Field gelding came off a good win, here in Class 4 company when he stepped up in class and wasn’t disgraced when finishing third in the Class 3 event, here over 1200m. They covered the trip in a slick 1:09.9 that night. Matthew Chadwick has been in charge for the galloper’s last three runs and remains aboard for this assignment. He gets the gun-run from gate one tonight and should be there at the finish again.

Race 7: No.3 TURIN WARRIOR
Manfred Man saddles-up TURIN WARRIOR here who finally scored his first win on the Happy Valley track and looks well placed here for a repeat of that effort tonight. Last start, the Not A Single Doubt gelding was having his 20th start on the track when he managed to beat home the 12-strong field in a Class 4 contest over the mile trip. Karis Teetan was aboard for his second ride and rode him a treat to get the job done on the night. He returns here after a four-week let-up with Teetan steering the ship again. Ideally drawn in gate two tonight, he looks a solid chance off going back-to-back.

Race 3: No.7 FLAMINGO TRILLION
The Frankie Lor-trained FLAMINGO TRILLION has taken a while to return to the winner’s circle but now that he is there, he can go on with it tonight. Last start, the Wandjina gelding was having his ninth start this time in when he finally cracked it for a win, beating home a Class 3 field, here over 1800m. He settled second and had the job of taking the field up to the leader, and on straightening, took over and held all the challenges off to score a gutsy win that night. Derek Leung sticks with him here and after a taste of victory, maybe he can repeat the dose here.
