Benno Yung saddles-up the in-form GUMMY GUMMY here who has taken to the all-weather track like a duck to water and remaining on the dirt track today, should take beating. Last start, the Snitzel gelding made it three-straight top-two finishes on the surface when he broke through for his first win this time in against Class 3 company over 1200m. He ran the trip in a sizzling 1:07.9 with Zac Purton in the saddle. Meeting similar company over the same trip today, Purton sticks with him here and nicely drawn in gate five, he looks the testing material in this event.

The Francis Lui-trained UNIVERSAL HORIZON has never ventured away from the Sha Tin track and having his tenth race start today, looks set to bring up win number three here. Last start, the Shalaa gelding bounced back from an unlucky unplaced finish (beaten less than a length) when he got the better of them here in a Class 3 Hcp over the mile. He hasn’t raced since then (five weeks ago) so he comes into this contest on fresh legs. Vince Ho is the only one to ride the gelding in his nine-career starts so is well aware of how to handle him. Ideally drawn in gate three today, he should take beating in this company.

In his first season as a trainer, Pierre Ng has already trained 35 winners and here he saddles-up MASTER OF FORTUNE who has the stats sheet to suggest he can figure in this contest today. Last start, the Fastnet Rock gelding was third-up and coming off a big win in a Class 4 Hcp when he just missed going back-to-back in similar company, taking home second prize, here in the 1600m event. Vince Ho has been on board for his past two starts and sticks with him here. Nicely drawn in gate six and with a trouble-free run here, he looks right in the mix for another forward showing today.
