BEST BET 🏆   

Race  No. 4 FAVANNA- ($4) 

FAVANNA can end the day as a winner. The Mike Moroney-trained galloper claimed her Maiden two starts ago at Cranbourne then jumped up to a BenchMark 70 at Flemington at his next start, finishing 4th behind Pondalowie over the 1100m, beaten three lengths. The 7th placegetter out of that has since come out and claimed a BM64 at Sale. Favanna drops to BM 58 and draws perfectly in barrier 3. 

NEXT BEST 🥈   

Race 7 No. 5 FORT WILLIAM- ($7) 

FORT WILLIAM can just about make it back to back wins when he steps out in Race 7. The John Moloney-trained galloper claimed his Maiden on April 29 with that performance coming over the 1200m at Mornington. He cleared out with Auto Max. The son of Smart Missile sticks to the 1200m and should be right at his peak third up and there are plenty of question marks over the form of the others in this race. 

BEST VALUE 💰   

Race 2 No. 1 AUTO MAX- ($21) 

AUTO MAX might be worth something at the each-way quote in Race 2. The Susie Wells-trained galloper has had the two career starts and went close at the track and trip on April 29 when a narrow runner-up behind Fort William. He was wide the trip in that race and did put a bit of a gap on the 3rd horse to go 1.3 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is a better figure than what any horse in this race has set. Some unknowns with the debutants in action but he has race experience on his side.
