Moruya Tips 2/08/2022
BEST BET 🏆
Race 5 No. 7 RAPIDITY – ($4.40)
Race 5 sees some handy performers in action over the 1010m and RAPIDITY just about looks ready at her third run this time in. The seven-year-old ran on well at Queanbeyan in a BenchMark 74 on July11, finishing a narrow runner-up behind Kattegat. She went 1.3 lengths slower than standard and the winner has since placed, while the 5th placegetter has gone on to score in easier class. The daughter of Duporth was a winner at the track and trip at this stage of her last preparation and has drawn well in barrier 5.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 3 No. 1 KING CHARLES – ($7)
KING CHARLES can make it back to back wins in Race 3 of the day at Moruya. The four-year-old broke through in style over the 1600m at Kembla Grange on July 16, winning by two from Pirate Bird, while there was a three length gap back to 3rd. His other runs over the mile were full of merit earlier this year and he went 3.5 lengths slower than standard last time, which is six lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner. Jackson Searle sticks on board and is one for one from one the stable.
Best Value 💰 (EACH-WAY)
Race 7 No. 7 MISS LAMAR – ($7)
MISS LAMAR should go well at her first run back from a spell. The six-year-old led all the way to score at Queanbeyan at her fresh run at her last preparation, going 3.9 lengths slower than standard before just missing out at Class 2 level at Scone over the 900m. The lightly raced six-year-old comes in with a couple of solid trial performances on Soft ground and has attracted support in the early betting.
