The Chris Waller-trained FRUMOS is unbeaten in three starts to date and looks poised to keep that record intact here. Last start, the Kitten’s Joy mare made it look easy as she took out a BM78 Hcp, here over 1400m. On a Heavy 8 that day, she covered the trip, 5.4 lengths quicker than benchmark, second only to Hope In Your Heart here who resumes after an 18-week absence. Hugh Bowman is aboard for the first time and up against similar company, she looks the pick of the meeting.

Race 2 : No. 2 TRUE CRIME ($4 with Unibet)

The Kim Waugh-trained TRUE CRIME has shown plenty of promise at his three starts to date and looks set to go on with it in this contest. Last start, the Sooboog gelding destroyed his rivals in a 2YO Hcp over 1200m on a Heavy 10 at Randwick. Leading all the way, he crossed the line almost three lengths ahead of the field, covering the trip, 4.9 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best here and a new personal best for him as well. He also posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. Nash Rawiller has the reins here and with a trouble-free run, he should take beating again.

Race 10 : No. 1 QUICK TEMPO ($8 with Neds)

Newcastle galloper QUICK TEMPO sees the Rosehill track for the first time here and third-up looks well placed to give a forward showing in this company. Last start, the Rubick gelding was second-up when he finished a close-up third in a BM78 Hcp over the 1000m sprint at Randwick. He finished strongly that day, running his last 600m, 13.5 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this line-up by more than 5 lengths. He also posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. Dylan Gibbons has the ride here and after his 3kg claim, the four-year-old comes in nicely at the weights. This looks no harder and he is currently looking good at generous each-way odds. He can figure here.
