Race 6 No. 6 SLATE RIPPER- ($3.60) 

TEWKESBURY should be hard to beat in Race 6. The Tony & Calvin McEvoy-trained galloper placed in his first two runs this preparation before getting out to the 2000m at Caulfield on December 14 and running 4th behind Dublin Journal. He settled handy in that race before sticking on. The son of Sir Prancelot comes back to a country level and is into this at his fourth run back from a spell. Jye McNeil rides and juts needs to find a spot in the run from barrier 13 in the early stages.

Race 4 No. 13  SIR TOROBEEL-  ($6) 

QUEEN BEIRA can get the job done in Race 4. The Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr-trained galloper has had two runs this preparation, placing in both. She ran on for 3rd over the 1200m at Kilmore when resuming before sticking on to land in that position at Cranbourne last time behind Charisse over the 1400m. The daughter of American Pharaoh had a few things go against her in the run but went 3.5 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is a better figure than what any horse in this race has produced.
