Jaden Lloyd was aboard that day and sticks with the mare here. On a seven-day back-up today, she is expected to settle back in the small field but in her current frame of mind, look for her finishing hard and fast again.

Race 3:  No.4  HE’S FOR THE GIRLS  ($3.10 with Bet Right)

Jason Edwards saddles-up HE’S FOR THE GIRLS here who is second-up and looms as a big chance in the small field today. Last start, the Rothesay gelding resumed off a lengthy five-month absence and in need of the run, fared well to finish fourth in the BM60 Hcp, here over 1000m. Ryan Maloney is the pilot today and fitter for that first-up run, he looks major player in the small field and is capable of getting the job done.

Race 5:  No.2  ADONISEA  ($6 with Ladbrokes)

After last minute scratchings this morning (due to the track downgrade), we have changed our train of thought and are now running with the Michael Morrison-trained ADONISEA as the one who looks best suited in the conditions today. Last start, the Krupt gelding was second-up and made the podium again when he finished third in a BM60 Hcp, here on a Soft 7 that day. Trying to lead all the way, he ran out of steam soon after straightening but fought on gamely for the minor prize. The six-year-old already boasts six podium finishes from 11 starts on wet tracks and is a three-time winner here at Corbould Park. Placed twice when third-up previously, he can give the odds-on favourite (Last Chance Saloon, who has no wet form on the board) a real run for his money today.
