BEST BET 🏆
Race 3: No.11 TOJAKI
Stuart Kendrick saddles-up TOJAKI here who is unbeaten in two starts at Corbould Park and looks well placed here for back-to-back victories. Last start, the Zoustar mare was third-up when she clobbered a Class 6 field over 1400m at Eagle Farm. Showing a great turn-of-foot, she claimed them all inside the final 200m and ridden right out by Robbie Dolan, she went on to put 3.5 lengths on them in the end. This is a little tougher but she drops 2kgs for the contest and has Dolan sticking with her for the assignment. Three of her six career-wins have come on wet tracks and at her peak here, she looks the best of the day.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 1: No.4 PEREILLE
The James Cummings-trained PEREILLE resumes here off a 10-week break and ticks plenty of boxes to suggest they will have to work overtime to keep him from taking out this contest. Last start, the Fastnet Rock gelding ended a three-start campaign by beating all but one home in a BM88 over 1200m at Randwick. He finished one length behind Tashi that day who ran the trip in a slick 1:09.08. He is yet to miss a podium finish from four first-up appearances and his resume shows he has two wins and five minor prizes from seven starts on wet tracks. James McDonald has finished in the minor money in all four events he has contested with the gelding. With two recent trials behind him, the Godolphin galloper should prove hard to beat here.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 5: No.14 MILLANE
The Tony Gollan-trained MILLANE is in great touch this campaign, and looks well placed here for back-to-back victories. Last start, the Zoustar gelding brought up his second win for this campaign when he finished best to claim victory in a BM88 over 1200m at Eagle Farm. Michael Dee is the new pilot here as the four-year-old strives to score his first podium finish on the Corbould Park track. A dual acceptor for the meeting, Gollan has scratched him from the first race of the day in preference to running him in this event. Already a winner in Listed company and down 3kgs on his last-start win, he looks set to give this a real shake.
