Race 8:  No.12  OUTWEIGHED  

In the heavy conditions today, the less weight you carry can only be an advantage, and with that in mind, we are running with the Paula Barron-trained OUTWEIGHED to bring home the bacon here. Last start, the Outreach filly bounced back from her first (ever) defeat and returned to the winner’s circle by taking out a BM78, here over 1000m on a Soft 7 that day. She drew the short straw at the barrier, jumping from the outside gate in the 13-strong field, Sean Cormack had her leading on settling and from there, she held them all at bay to claim her fifth win from six starts to date. Cormack is the only rider to sit in the saddle so far and he will steer the ship again today. All five victories have come at this track and distance, giving her a distinct advantage here. Although rising in class, with a trouble-free run she can get the job done again in this contest.

Race 5:  No.7  ROYAL EXIT

Gold Coast galloper, ROYAL EXIT is a proven mud-lark and with conditions to suit today, he looks set to figure prominently here. Last start, the Vancouver gelding returned to the track after more than a year off the scene and on fresh legs, beat home an Open company field over 1000m at Grafton. He drew the outside gate that day and was trapped three-wide without cover to the turn, but still proved too strong in the run home on a wet track. He is a two-time winner when second-up and four of his five career wins have all come on wet tracks as well. Kyle Wilson-Taylor is the new pilot for this assignment and fitter for that first-up effort, he looks in the mix here at odds.

Race 4:  No.9  BEAN ALL OVA 

Down in the weights here, BEAN ALL OVA took a couple of starts to get warm this preparation but now looks to be at her best and lines up here a definite winning chance today. Last start, the Spill The Beans filly cracked it for her first win when she took out a 1600m Maiden here at Corbould Park. With Jimmy Byrne aboard, she took control soon after straightening then despite a report that the saddle has slipped on the filly, she still went on to win by half a length on the line. She takes on stiffer opposition here but has Jim Byrne remaining in the saddle for this assignment and with a trouble-free run today, she can cause the upset in this contest.
