Race 2 No. 3 SHARKRIM – ($2.90)

SHARKRIM can go close at his first run back from a spell. The four-year-old has had the six career runs for two wins and closed off his last campaign with a win at Tamworth over the 1000m, going hard out in front before holding them off. He was solid when 3rd at his first up run and won on debut when fresh. The son of Sharbite comes in with a solid trial effort and loves the 1000m.

Race 6 No. 4 VOLUNTEER- ($4)

VOLUNTEER should go close at his third run back from a spell. The five-year-old was chopped out of it when resuming at Port Macquarie over the 1200m before stepping to the 1350m at the Gold Coast and easing out at the 200m, producing the fastest late split to run 4th behind My Adeline in a Class 1. Step up to the 1600m suits and as long as they don’t crawl out in front early on, the son of War Chant can run over the top of these late in the piece.
