COSMIC ENIGMA gets his chance in Race 2. The Richard Cully-trained galloper has finished runner-up in his three career starts, rattling home in all of those. He last stepped out at Pakenham on March 23 and overcame traffic at the top of the straight before filling the exacta behind El Soleado over the 1400m on March 23. Form from his latest outing has been solid with three of the beaten brigade coming out and winning their next starts. John Allen just needs to stay within striking distance from barrier 9 and the pair can run over the top of them late in the piece.

Race 8 No 1 NOT USUAL GLORIOUS – ($2.90)
NOT USUAL GLORIOUS should be hard to beat in the Terang Cup. The six-year-old has had three runs this time in and was handy before just fading late into 4th position in the Bairnsdale Cup (1600m) two starts ago before heading to Oakbank and placing 3rd in the Onkaparinga Cup (2150m). He worked hard in the early to middle stages to lead and did well to stick on. At his fourth run last time, the son of Fiorente improved five lengths on benchmark figures to set a personal best when claiming a BenchMark 100 at Moonee Valley over the 2040m ahead of Mohican Heights. He draws well in barrier 3 and is another live chance on the day for John Allen.
