Race 2 No. 1 ROCK THE BAR- ($3.80) 

ROCK THE BAR can go close in Race 2. The Danny O’Brien-trained galloper has won two of five career starts and has raced on the speed over the 1600m at his past two starts at Sandown, finishing 4th two starts ago before sticking on for 3rd on April 10 behind Indian Jewel. The son of Toronado drops to the 1400m and was a dominant winner the last time he tackled the trip. He has run fast time in relation to his rivals in this race at his past couple and draws well in barrier 5.

Race 9 No. 4 LITTLE MIX- ($4.20) 

The Warrnambool Cup assembles a capacity field and it is LITTLE MIX that can go one spot better than a last start effort that saw her finish runner-up in the Mornington Cup (2400m) on April 20. The Anabel Neasham mare was stepping up from the 2000m that day after placing 4th at Group 3 level at Rosehill and settled in a midfield spot but couldn’t quite reel in the likes of Esti Feny and Strawberry Rock. The five-year-old will be full of fitness after five runs under her belt and doesn’t mind a bit of cut out of the ground, while she draws to save ground from barrier 2.
