Race 4 No. 1 JACK BE LUCKY – ($2.60)
With a few scratching’s already drawn to his inside, we will be betting on JACK BE LUCKY to utilize his brilliant gate speed early. He’s already won at the track, breaking his maiden status over 1100 metres here four starts ago. He hunted the speed that day before putting paid to them into the straight. Ran put a strong winner last start over the same in Toowoomba. Jack Be Lucky flew the gates from his outside draw to run his Class One field ragged, coming away even further late to score by four lengths. Ran strong time too that night and has been around the mark in stronger six-furlong races in the past.

Race 2 No. 10 SUNIKI – ($6.50)
We saw a big run last start by SUNIKI over a similar trip at Gatton. The slight mare jumped sharply from her middle draw only to be held out on the pace. She had been posted three-wide no-cover the entire yet worked home best of anything behind the winner to run second. She’s drawn somewhere similar here again for two kilo claiming apprentice Emma MacPherson. Only lightly raced from the Jayden Sims stable and while getting deep into her prep now, Suniki still has plenty of upside.

Race 6 No. 10 STATIC LIFT – ($7.50)
Ageing warhorse STATIC LIFT is capable when right and he has been running the consistent times of late which should see him competitive here. The ageing ten-year-old finds himself well back in class on his latest gutsy effort in a benchmark 65 over this trip in Ipswich. He was hunted out of his wide draw by Jason Taylor to find a forward position on the hot pace. Trapped deep without cover through the early stages left Taylor no option but to push forward and lead. The inside horse was having none of that and so took him on even further. That pair cleared out from the rest of the field setting the race up for something from the back. Static Lift had been entitled weaken, and he did stick to the task until deep into the straight. Finally draws a barrier and will be in this for a long way.
