BEST BET 🏆

Race 7:  No.9  FLEETWOOD MACA  ($3.70 with Bet Right)

Locally-trained by the O’Dea & Hoysted Team, FLEETWOOD MACA is second-up here and at the weights, looks a serious contender for the major prize. Last start, the Rock ‘n’ Pop mare was resuming off a lengthy 22-week spell when she finished strongly to beat all but one to the line in a BM85 Hcp, here over 1200m. She remains on her home track here where she is already a winner and boasts two wins from three previous second-up starts as well. Coming in on the limit, she carries just 53kgs, getting weight from all her rivals here and already a two-time winner over the 1400m, she will take beating in this contest.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 5:  No.5  CHAYSE ‘N’ ARTIE  ($4.40 with Bet Right)

Les Kelly saddles-up CHAYSE ‘N’ ARTIE here who ticks enough boxes to be considered a genuine winning chance in this event. Last start, the Flying Artie gelding found his mojo in this campaign when he easily accounted for a Class 1 contest, here over the 1800m trip. With Sean Cormack aboard, he finished more than a length ahead of them that day. He faces a similar task here as Cormack sticks with him for this assignment. Well drawn and carrying a similar weight (58kgs), he should prove hard to hold out again.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 2:  No.3  PARK AVENUE  ($5.75 with Bet Right)

The Team Sears-trained PARK AVENUE is second-up here and looks poised for a bold showing in this contest. Last start, the Fastnet Rock gelding was having his first start for the new stable (transferring from the Team Freedman camp) and after more than a year off the scene, did well to beat all but one home in a BM70, here over the 1000m sprint. He has placed twice in two starts here previously and is already a winner when second-up. James Orman has the reins and with a trouble-free run here, the four-year-old can figure.
