Hawkesbury Racing Tips 7 Nov 2026: Wandjad Four Straight?

Overview

Valentiago has raced at Hawkesbury three times and finished in the first three every time, and the recent form has been just as steady, with three placings from three runs in the last 90 days. Jean Van Overmeire rides for Peter Snowden in Race 5 at 3:54PM, and on a card heavy with maidens, that record is the firmest thing to stand on.

Eight races run from 1:20PM to 5:54PM on a track rated Good to Soft. The first four races are all for maidens, so these Hawkesbury racing tips lean on the stables and riders with real numbers here as much as on the horses. Only Race 1 had bookmaker prices up when this was written.

What Hawkesbury gives us today

Limited course form across today’s fields. Most runners have one or two starts here, and only Bright Promise and Valentiago bring three runs at the track into today with a win among them.

The riders tell more. Jean Van Overmeire has five winners from 26 Hawkesbury rides and places better than four times in ten, and he has eight rides today. K S Latham has the most rides here, 42, and places on 17 of them.

Bjorn Baker places more than half his Hawkesbury runners and has three in the Ladies Day Cup. C J Waller has the most volume, 12 winners from 75.

Hawkesbury race by race

Race 1: Richmond Club Mdn Plate, 1:20PM, 1400m

Sur Nova Centauri‘s form reads 332-7, three placings before a quieter latest run, and the market has it a clear favourite at $2.15 with Bet Right. L P Beuzelin rides for G Waterhouse and A Bott, whose runners place 45% of the time here, from barrier 1.

The danger is All Over Harry at $4.00 with Bet Right, placed at one of two runs in the last 90 days. Waller has two in, Arruza at $5.50 and Stellar Cipher at $6.00, both with Unibet, but neither has a placing on its form line yet. Win on Sur Nova Centauri, though the price leaves little in it.

Race 2: Fowler Civil Contracting Pty Ltd Mdn Plate, 1:55PM, 1400m

What does a maiden with placings get you? Koibito has three seconds from five starts, form 422-27, and the Waterhouse and Bott stable sends Beuzelin back out on it. Michonne’s Katana comes off a second, form 47-432, and Mitchell Bell rides.

C J Waller saddles three, Envious, Explosive Express and Palm Tree, and Palm Tree has the most experience of them with a placing from three recent runs. Llantarnam ran third on debut. Each-way on Koibito, as this is a race to keep stakes small.

Race 3: Blakes Marine Super Mdn Plate, 2:34PM, 1800m

Dance With Destiny jumps from barrier 1 and has placed in both runs in the last 90 days, with a form line of 652223. Jean Van Overmeire rides for J G Sargent, who wins with more than a quarter of Hawkesbury runners and has two more in the race in Rocks Or Diamonds and Spalpeen.

Chief Wild Eagle placed in two of three recent runs and carries top weight of 59kg. What She’s Having placed at the only Hawkesbury start. Win on Dance With Destiny, Chief Wild Eagle the saver.

Race 4: Irresistible Pools And Spas Provincial Mdn Hcp, 3:14PM, 1100m

Calippo, Dirty Dani, Extreme Courage and Artfull are listed here without a rider, which thins the field. Of what is left, Ready Made Heir has the most solid profile: placed in two of three runs in the last 90 days, placed at the only Hawkesbury start, and drawn barrier 3 for MS K Buchanan.

Dwight has placed in two of four recent runs and in one of two here, and R Hutchings rides. The unraced and lightly raced runners make this hard to have a firm view on. Each-way on Ready Made Heir.

Race 5: Performance Access Resources Conditional (Bm68), 3:54PM, 2000m

This is where the day’s betting starts. Valentiago has been in the first three at all three Hawkesbury starts with a win among them, and has kept that up with three placings from three runs in the last 90 days. The form line reads 121323. Peter Snowden places half of his runners here, and Van Overmeire rides from barrier 4 at 58kg.

The question is whether a horse that keeps placing can win. One win from three here says it can, and nothing else in the field has placed at every recent run.

Falcon Lair is the danger. Top weight of 60.5kg, but it won at its only Hawkesbury start, and the Neasham and Archibald stable places more than half its runners here. Astrogazer has a win and three placings from five recent runs. Win on Valentiago, and it is the banker for multis.

Race 6: All Aspects Roofing Midway (Bm64), 4:35PM, 1300m

Zouboy is unbeaten in two starts and won its only run in the last 90 days for $21,000. William Stanley rides for Nathan Doyle, whose Hawkesbury runners win a quarter of the time, at 59kg from barrier 7.

Bright Promise is the most experienced danger: two wins from four recent runs, $39,100 earned, and a win from three Hawkesbury starts. Molly Bourke rides from barrier 12. Skirmish won one of four recent runs. Win on Zouboy, saver on Bright Promise.

Zouboy has only had two starts, so 59kg against more seasoned horses is a fair test. Bright Promise has been here three times and won once, which counts for something on a Good to Soft track, and the wide gate is the biggest problem.

Race 7: Evergreen Turf Ladies Day Cup, 5:15PM, 1500m

Bjorn Baker has three in this, and Filthy Habits is the one to follow. A second at its latest run, form 4732-2, and Jean Van Overmeire rides from barrier 13. Baker’s Hawkesbury runners place more than half the time, and Robusto and Sandpaper give the stable more chances.

Paltrow Miss has the best form figures in the race at 1-1233 for C Maher, and Snitzel Dancer won at its only Hawkesbury start. Hyperbolic placed at its only run here and Kirribilli placed twice from five recent runs. Each-way on Filthy Habits in a race with no standout.

The Neasham and Archibald stable has Cristal Clear, Depth Of Character and Mighty Ulysses here, and that stable places more than half its Hawkesbury runners, so do not be surprised if one of them hits the frame at a price. None of the three has placed in the last 90 days, though, which is why they sit behind Filthy Habits.

Race 8: Airmakers (Bm64), 5:54PM, 1500m

Wandjad against Rolling Home is the finish to the day. Wandjad has won three of four runs in the last 90 days and comes in on three straight wins, form 9-75111, though top weight of 60.5kg is the price of that. A Gibbons rides from barrier 5.

Rolling Home is two from two in the last 90 days, form 334211, with H Van Der Hoven riding for Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald. Showmara has two wins from five recent runs and a win from two Hawkesbury starts, and K S Latham rides. Maximum Ride is listed without a rider. Win on Wandjad, with Rolling Home in the exacta.

The case for Wandjad over Rolling Home is volume. Four runs in the last 90 days have produced $48,150, against $27,900 from two for Rolling Home, and three wins on end is a stronger line than two. The case against is a kilo more weight. Showmara is the one that could beat both if they take each other on early, since K S Latham has placed on 17 of his 42 Hawkesbury rides and knows how this track plays.

Where the money goes

NAP: Wandjad (Race 8, 5:54PM). Three wins in a row and three from four in the last 90 days. The weight is the only knock on a horse in this form.

Value: Showmara (Race 8, 5:54PM). Two wins from five recent runs and a Hawkesbury win already, yet it is easy to overlook next to two horses on winning streaks.

Banker: Valentiago (Race 5, 3:54PM). Placed at every Hawkesbury start and in every recent run.

Each-way: Dance With Destiny (Race 3, 2:34PM). Placed in both recent runs, barrier 1, and a stable that wins with more than a quarter of its runners here.

Course angle: Jean Van Overmeire. Five winners from 26 rides here, and today he rides Pieripper, Llantarnam, Dance With Destiny, Cold Gin, Valentiago, Viipuri, Filthy Habits and Awesome Artist.

Quaddie (Races 5 to 8): Valentiago and Falcon Lair, then Zouboy and Bright Promise, then Filthy Habits, Paltrow Miss and Snitzel Dancer, and Wandjad with Rolling Home in the last.

Van Overmeire has eight rides on a card where he already wins one in five here, and a double today would make him the first name to check at every Hawkesbury meeting this summer.
