Race 1 No. 1 ELMORE LAD – ($2.30)
Kym Hann sends last start winner ELMORE LAD to the Alice where he finds a different surface to that he’s been racing on in Darwin. Landed the cash for us with an emphatic win last time and we’ll happily double-down here. Sonja Wiseman had been hard at work on him to hold a position once the gates opened. She found the box-seat behind the leader which saw the pair with nowhere to go as they were hemmed in on straightening. Wiseman has pulled him across heels to find clear air with the race seemingly out of reach. Elmore Lad knuckled down to task with the 60kg’s to save the day for us punters in the last bound.

Race 2 No. 4 CUT IT OUT – ($5.50)
Ianish Luximon found the improvement trainer Will Savage was looking for in CUT IT OUT when finding the front last start. The pair speared out of the gates to lead all the way over this track and trip to impress those watching the clock. Beat a very similar opposition from the ideal draw and this time has to contend with being drawn out. Don’t believe that will be an issue as the mare showed far too much early toe for the others anyway. Like the way Savage has kept his mare fresh with a good spacing between runs. Cut It Out can show her opposition a clean pair of heels to make it back-back wins on Saturday.

Race 3 No. 4 SPEED WHEEL – ($10)
We’ll stick with SPEED WHEEL as we search for our each-way value “roughie” bet. She was a good winner here for us last start as she got the job done in breaking her maiden. Speed Wheel had to work for it despite Sonja Wiseman putting her into the box-seat following a tardy getaway. He’s asked her to cruise up three wide around them before straightening with the mare going on for a tradesman like win. They weren’t the strongest lot and Speed Wheel had posted quicker time during her start prior. Not a lot of upside can be found amongst the rest of these and Dan Morgan can put Speed Wheel into the picture once again.
