BEST BET 🏆
Race 3 No. 2 BRUCE ALMIGHTY – ($5.40)
We marked BRUCE ALMIGHTY as a horse of interest following a recent review from Ascot Racecourse. Chris Parnham really had them moving along out in front on Bruce Almighty with the heavily in-form mare Bonjoy settling several lengths astern. No matter what Parnham did, there was just no way Bruce Almighty was going to beat her home. He certainly gave it a crack though with the sectionals they ran early and did manage to break the hearts of the others. Race time was still fast over the concluding 600m, and Bruce Almighty can break through should he bring similar again on Saturday.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 1 No. 6 YARRALEA – ($4)
We marked YARRALEA as a horse of interest out of the race we added Wubin Gold to the Black Book last week. The winner settled on her own towards the back of midfield in a truly run race. Wubin Gold came with her run at the right time to put the field away under hands and heels riding. Yarralea had jumped with them before coming right back to the tail of the field. She was simply left with far too much to do by the time they straightened for home. Chris Parnham wound the mare up, and Yarralea set alight to run third over this track and trip. She finished with the fastest last 600m of the race which carried a lot more depth then this field does on Saturday.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 2 No. 4 SIBERIAN SIREN – ($6.10)
Sean and Jake Casey scratched SIBERIAN SIREN from a winnable race at Belmont on Wednesday. They remain in Saturday grade in town with their filly following a slashing run from the back in the Magic Millions at Pinjarra last month. Keshaw Dhurun found the three-wide trailing line with cover as he allowed Siberian Siren to find her feet through the early stages. He brought her with her run as the widest horse into the straight to just miss the Bondi Bubbles over 1200m. Those two continued to come right away from the others past the line, suggesting that Siberian Siren will be further suited over the 1400m.
