Race 2 No. 2 CHARGENLIKAPLUMA- ($6)
CHARGENLIKAPLUMA looks to have come back in good order this time around and can claim his first race when he steps out in Race 2 at Ballarat. The four-year-old took a bit of time to get going in his first preparation before an improved effort at Pakenham back in May. He stepped out at Moe on Heavy going on October 14, settling handy before landing in the runner-up slot behind Impressive Enuff. That came over the 1100m and he went 4.3 lengths slower than standard, which is better than what any horse in this race has produced. Carleen Hefel just needs to negotiate the wide barrier.

Race 8 No. 10 BRING ME FLOWERS- ($26)
BRING ME FLOWERS is worth a play at the each-way odds in Race 8. The Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr-trained galloper has had two runs this preparation and worked home steadily over the 1200m when resuming at Moe before doing plenty wrong in the run when 4th at Cranbourne over the 1300m behind Prowling last time. The winner out of that has since gone on to claim a $100,000 race on Sale Cup day. Third up at her last preparation she claimed her Maiden at Sale before dropping out of it after a tough run in the Group 2 Fillies Classic (1600m) at Moonee Valley last year. The daughter of Sebring just needs to settle a bit better this time around and with any luck from barrier 14 she can get the job done.
