Ballarat Tips 30/08/2022

BEST BET 🏆

Race 6 No. 5 MISS DANIEL – ($2.25)

MISS DANIEL should be hard to beat in Race 6 of the day at Ballarat. The Symon Wilde-trained galloper was unlucky here two starts ago over the 1100m when just missing behind Rosalia, putting a gap on the rest. At her most recent start, she stepped out for the first time for the Wilde stable and was strong late in the piece when scoring over the 1000m at Donald. A firmer in the early betting, the daughter of Starcraft has the early speed to push forward if necessary and will be ridden by Harry Coffey, who strikes at 20% for the stable, providing a 27% profit on turnover for punters.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 5 No. 5 THE EXCHANGE – ($6)

Race 5 is a 0-64 over the 1100m and THE EXCHANGE should find this more to his liking after running a competitive 6th at Sandown over the 1200m on July 24. That came in a BM 64 and he settled handy to the lead before just fading late when landing a length behind Field Of Roses. The son of Street Boss went three lengths slower than standard benchmark, which are the best last start figures of any runner. At his start prior to that he was a winner on the Ballarat Synthetic in a Maiden. From barrier 5, he should be prominent in the run and we can expect to see him fighting out the finish.

BEST VALUE 💰(EACH-WAY)

Race 8 No. 3 RONAY – ($8)

RONAY might be worth a play in the final race of the day at Ballarat. The seven-year-old is a Synthetic track specialist, winning nine and placing in a further 12 from 30 goes on the surface. She was a winner over the 1400m here two starts ago before tackling a BM64 over the 1400m on August 19 when she was posted wide before sticking on very well to fill the exacta behind Vittoria Colonna. The Patrick Payne-trained galloper has attracted support in the betting and the 2kg claim for Tayla Childs gets her down to a winnable weight.
