Race 8 No. 9 REDZOUST- ($3.80)
Another that I am keen on with some solid form on the Ballarat Synthetic is REDZOUST. The Tony & Calvin McEvoy-trained galloper was ok in some without much luck in some stronger maiden races to kick off his career before heading to Ballarat and winning by more than three lengths from Veloce Carro on September 16. He settled handy that day and gave a good kick in the straight. The son of Zoustar looks up to the jump in grade and has the speed to cross over from barrier 10.

Race 5 No. 4 IDEAL MISS- ($4.20)
IDEAL MISS can make it back to back wins when she steps out in Race 5. One of only a couple in the field with form on Synthetic tracks, the five-year-old was a winner in a BenchMark 58 at the track and trip ahead of Grand Quill on August 19. The Nigel Blackiston-trained galloper went 1.7 lengths slower than standard benchmark in that race, which are the best last start figures of any runner. She rises slightly in grade for this but is fit and in form with two wins from her last four, while she draws well with Blake McDougall to ride.
