BEST BET 🏆
Race 6: No.5 AGENT MOON ($5.50 with Palmerbet)
He has drawn out today but if AGENT MOON can cross and settle early, he looks a genuine chance of victory here. Last start, the six-year-old finished just behind the placegetters in a BM58 Hcp over 920m at Moruya. He missed the jump and settled three lengths last where he remained until the turn. He showed plenty of fight in the run, finishing strongly to grab fourth prize, beaten less than two lengths on the line. After the claim here, he drops 2kgs for this contest and the extra distance only enhances his chances today. If he can settle near mid-field with cover, he looks a big winning chance here.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 1: No.5 KISS ‘N’ RUN ($5.50 with Neds)
Mudgee galloper KISS ‘N’ RUN has finally found her mojo this time in and looks set to go on with it today. Last start, the Choisir mare went one better when she finally broke through for her Maiden win over 1420m at Dubbo. Jean Van Overmeire rode her a treat that day, taking over on straightening and going on to win by over a length on the line. She maps to settle in the first half-dozen here from gate seven and Van Overmeire sticks with her today. With a trouble-free run, she looks every chance of back-to-back victories here.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 7: No.7 DAWN FLIGHT ($7.50 with Unibet)
Warwick Farm galloper DAWN FLIGHT sports the blinkers for the first time today and second-up here ticks enough boxes to put her right in this contest. Last start, the Fighting Sun mare resumed off a lengthy 21-week absence when she finished down the track in a BM64 Hcp over 1300m at Newcastle. Her first-up record reflects her efforts on fresh legs as she jumped an unwanted runner in the market at $13. Her second-up stats are far better showing a win and a runner-up finish from two previous second-up starts. She makes her track debut today and boasts being a two-time winner over the 1400m. Jess Taylor has had success previously from her six rides on the mare and sticks with her here. Ideally drawn in gate three, Taylor has options available to either lead or take a sit today and fitter for that first-up run, she looks right in the mix here.
