Race 4:  No.1  MISHANI CONMAN  ($2.70 with Ladbrokes)

Local galloper, MISHANI CONMAN has been performing well at the Provincials and back on his home track today, he looks the testing material here. Last start, the Love Conquers All gelding made-it back-to-back runner-up finishes at the Gold Coast track when he beat all but one home again in a BM62 Hcp over the 1350m trip. Taking the lead inside the final 200m, he looked home but was gunned down in the closing stages, conceding 3kgs to the winner that day. Ryan Wiggins makes a rare trip to the ‘Desert’ today and has the job on board the five-year-old for the first time. Super fit today after four starts back, he jumps from gate two here and should be stalking the speed again, his usual racing role. Back on home soil, he should prove hard to hold out here.

Race 5:  No.6  NIGHT VISION  ($2.50 with Unibet)

Sunshine Coast visitor, NIGHT VISION sees the Beaudesert track for the first time but third-up today, he brings fitness with her and looks a prime candidate for the chocolates here. Last start, the Ferlax mare improved from her first-up effort when she beat all but one home in a BM55 Hcp over the mile on her home track. Leading from the outset, she slowed them up mid-race and almost got away with it. She looked home passing the 300m mark, but was run down by a swooper inside the final 50m metres, leaving her with second prize that day. She the trip out, 3.1 lengths slower than benchmark, still the best here and set a new personal best as well. Matthew Powell sticks with her today and fitter for two runs back, they will have to run her down here again.

Race 6:  No.4  ROSE PIN  ($5 with Palmerbet)

Toowoomba galloper, ROSE PIN, makes her Beaudesert debut today and is racing well enough to suggest she is w inning chance against this field. Last start, the Worthy Cause mare had Montanna Savva back in the saddle when she beat all but one to the line in a BM62 Hcp over 1625m on her home track. She ran that out, 4.2 lengths slower than benchmark, still the best here by 3 lengths. Savva remains in charge for this assignment with the mare mapping to settle mid-field with cover. If she enjoys a trouble-free run here, she should be fighting out the finish again.
