BEST BET 🏆

Race 2 No. 4 FINCHY – ($5.50)

We were on FINCHY with some confidence last start after watching her hit the line strongly at her previous couple. The filly was gunning for a hat-trick of wins after settling off a good tempo over 1300 metres at Belmont. Finchy came as the widest runner to put that maiden field away inside the last furlong. Followed-up by box-seating the slow tempo over this track and distance. Troy Turner drove Finchy along the inside to forge clear over the concluding stages. Brandon Louis sticks to claim his couple after the Finchy was slow out of the gates last time. They weren’t helped by the slow tempo that was set, and the winner Village Girl has raced well in Saturday grade since.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 3 No. 11 PLATINUM CLASS – ($4.60)

The Steve and Neville Parnham combination continues with PLATINUM CLASS who has been racing as though she’d appreciate the 1200m. Got back as expected in the small field which packed plenty of pace with Cut The Talk prevailing. Platinum Class didn’t find a lot of room at her next run either when doing her best work late behind Street parade. Those two efforts were enough to convince punters to tighten her off an already short quote last start. Not sure if she missed the kick slightly or perhaps copped a check out of the gates. We are not going to know either as Steward’s vision is not available on the Racing WA website. Perhaps held-up slightly as mentioned in the report, though she didn’t seem to lose momentum. Platinum Class kept coming to the line and should again prove competitive as she steps out with an extra furlong.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 5 No. 5 ACE COMMAND – ($6)

Mike Santich keeps ACE COMMAND well into the prep after breaking his maiden over the mile at Pinjarra recently. Ace Command put the writing on the wall at his start prior when forced to cover ground throughout. He continued to edge into the race without cover before hitting the front on straightening. It took one horse to come out of the pack and run him down with Ace Command leaving a gap back to the others. Since played follow the leader on a hot speed before engaging in a battle for supremacy up the Pinjarra straight. Ace Command found the better of Full Of Merit towards the shadows with the quinella horses again leaving a space to the rest. Taken back from the wide barrier when the leaders walked over 1400m in Saturday grade at latest. Pay to forgive last and Brayden Gaerth can find a nice run near the speed in this.
