Race 2 No. 10 ANPHINA – ($6.50)
Keen to see how ANPHINA goes at her first run back from a nine-week break. The filly from the Andrew Bobbin camp showed plenty in her first four starts with three of those coming in Saturday grade at Flemington, where she was unlucky not to win at least one of those. The daughter of Rebel Dane was held up in a couple of those, including one when second up as a narrow runner-up behind Brosnan, while she was a solid and close up 6th behind Quang Tri in early July before the let up. Draws wide for this assignment but should have plenty of time to wind up and the form she showed should measure up very well for this race.

Race 5 No. 14 WHO SHOT SUZY – ($21)
The sprinters tackle the 1100m in a BenchMark 70 and WHO SHOT SUZY is worth thought, provided she can sneak into the field. The second emergency resumed at Sandown on August 10 over the 1000m and settled leaders back but was held up from the 400m-200m before sticking on well for 5th, beaten three lengths. Some solid figures out of that and two of the beaten brigade have since gone on to win. Second up last time she could only manage 10th on a Good surface over the 1100m here but she stuck on well in what turned out to be a hot form race, while she was a winner at the track and trip on Soft ground this time a year ago.
