Race 2 No. 10 SHOURI LAD – ($4.20)

Robert Hickmott has brought SHOURI LAD across the border in search of a win with his gelding looking the pick of the yard in town last start. Madison Lloyd gave him a treat in transit as the speed went on over the 1100 metres at Morphettville. They were running on up the middle that day which is exactly what Shouri Lad was doing. That pair had just missed Fly The Line who held a margin in the run. Gets out to 1300 metres in country grade with senior rider Kayla Crowther aboard. She’ll give him every possible chance from the draw and Shouri Lad can find that break-through win.

Race 1 No. 6 TENTERK – ($7)

Murray Bridge horseman Stuart Padman has placed TENTERK into a race where he can win. Tenterk had shown form in two good trials before being sent around over 900 metres on debut at home. He was a little wayward in a strong race which was won by Hot Sparky in record time. Both the first and second placed horses have since come out to run the quinella at Morphettville. There’s good pace here with four-time jump out winner Aggressive Bee injecting speed with All Clubs and Comanche Queen also rolling forward. Alice Lindsay can take advantage of that pressure to produce Tenterk with a winning run into the straight.

Race 3 No. 9 BUT BEAUTIFUL – ($9)

There’s good enough pressure in this for BUT BEAUTIFUL to make it three from three at Bordertown. We don’t have any jump out info to go on so will take on trust. She does boast a good record first-up and ran a big race over 1430 metres when resuming at Naracoorte last time in. Callan Murray made an early move to put But Beautiful into the race that day which meant she was off the track for much of the contest. The mare put two wins together to begin her previous prep, the first of which a last-gasp win over this track and distance.
