Race 6 No. 3 SITTING BULL – ($4.40)
Proven heavy track performer SITTING BULL has caught the eye at his past couple. Did win this class and trip in Strathalbyn a few runs prior so we know the good form is there. Slowly away two back at Gawler in a leader dominated race. Became held-up from the top of the straight before working home well once clear. Similar again last start when Barend Vorster allowed him to come back to last off the wide draw. Worked home outside the field into the straight and just needed to find something slightly easier. Gets that here in country grade plus a claim from the man of the moment in Lachlan Overall.

Race 1 No. 4 DON’T DISMISS – ($5)
Tough nine-year-old warhorse DON’T DISMISS has raced well here in the past and generally handles all conditions. Todd Pannell retains the ride after guiding him home on a deep Gawler track for Strathalbyn trainer Grant Kluske. Come back a kilo for the win and we wouldn’t consider this race being a lot up in grade at all. Pannell found the gun-run behind the speed last time before Don’t Dismiss gutsed it out into the straight for a well-deserved win. Kluske has placed him superbly in this and Don’t Dismiss should find a good run in transit again.

Race 3 No.2 JUST TUNED – ($8)
The big lumbering debutante JUST TUNED may well find his niche on the dirt eventually, for now however, Alexander Justice has him up and about for Bordertown. Hasn’t showed any real change-up of pace, more a big horse with length of stride who will take a bit of work to bring his weight down while getting his fitness levels up. Has shown his rivals a clean pair of heels early in both trials this time in before fading late. We do rate his most recent performance and do expect some winners to come out of that trial. Justice has found a good kick-off point and Just Tuned can give them something to catch.
