Caulfield Tips 12/10/2022
BEST BET 🏆
Race 8 No. 4 BOOGIE DANCER- ($2.40)
Going with BOOGIE DANCER in the feature of the day, the Thousand Guineas. The Peter Moody-trained galloper took out the Thousand Guineas Prelude by more than three lengths from Sumatra on what was a Heavy 8 track at her final lead up, while She’s Lickety Split ran 3rd. Her overall form reads well and she was second up off a six-week break at her latest after wining the VOBIS Gold Ingot (1400m) ahead of Berkeley Square on a Soft 5 track back in July. The Peter Moody-trained galloper comes in with more than three lengths in between runs and should be ready to fire again with Luke Nolen in the saddle.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 7 No. 11 DAUMIER- ($21)
DAUMIER is not without a chance in the Blue Sapphire Stakes. The Blue Diamond (1200m) winner from the autumn will find this easier than a last start effort that saw him run 9th in the Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill on September 24 behind Jacquinot, beaten just over four lengths. He had a bit of a torrid time early on and battled in the straight. 1200m is more to his liking and worth noting that he went 6.2 lengths faster than standard last time, which is just shy of the best last start figures of any runner in this race. Third up in the autumn is when he struck in the Blue Diamond and if the rain holds off he is right in this.
BEST VALUE 💰(EACH-WAY)
Race 8 No. 4 ADELE AMOUR- ($91)
ADELE AMOUR might be worth something at massive odds in the final race of the day at Caulfield. The John Sadler-trained galloper didn’t do much when resuming on Soft going at Caulfield over the 1400m on September 17 in a BenchMark 90 as a $5 shot but was a second up improver at her last preparation, going from a 3rd at Swan Hill when fresh to a win at Caulfield over the 1400m on a Good track ahead of Blistering. The four-year-old was then 4th over the 1600m at Caulfield in the $250,000 VOBIS Gold Ingot before storming home to win at Flemington. She went more than seven lengths faster than standard in those three runs and she did draw the worst part of the track last time. Worth thought at a big price.
