Race 5 is a BenchMark 64 over the 1000m and INVINCIBILUS is worth thought. The Ben & JD Hayes-trained mare hasn’t done much at her two runs this time in but drops in grade for this assignment and was a sharp improver at this stage of her last preparation, winning two on the trot over the 1000m at Cranbourne. She improved more than nine lengths on benchmark figures at this stage and should get her chance from barrier 4 with Michael Dee to ride.

Race 7 No. 5 FOUNEX- ($9.50)
FOUNEX shapes as a solid each-way player in Race 7 at Cranbourne. The five-year-old likes to head forward and worked hard in the early stages here two starts ago when going down in the shadows to Social Conscience over the 1200m and it was a similar story when 3rd at Yarra Valley at his most recent start. This class looks like it will suit, as will the tight turning Cranbourne track. He should be in it for a long way.
